LAN by Cable

|

Local Area Network LAN is usually abbreviated network computers that are geographically close to the campus computer network, such as, buildings, offices, in homes, schools or smaller. While this is usually based on LAN technology using the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet switch device, which has data transfer speeds 10, 100, or 1000 Mbit / s. In addition to Ethernet technology, this technology usually called 802.11b or Wi-fi is also often used to form the LAN. Places that provide LAN connectivity technology with Wi-fi hotspot is called normal.

On a LAN, each computer node or computing power has its own, different from the concept of the dump. Each computer can also access resources on the LAN in accordance with the access rights that have been set. Resources can be either data or devices such as printers. On the LAN, a user can also communicate with other users by using the appropriate application.

The steps:

To create a small computer network (LAN), there are some equipment and materials that we need such as:
* Tang Cramping
* Lan Tester
* Cable UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) / coaxial (rarely used)
* RJ45 Connector / coaxial cable connector
* Switch-hub
* Min 2 fruit a PC (Personal Computer) with LAN Card, or NIC (Network Interface Card)

to ease in order menghapal cable, we can use one of the ways that I use, namely
the picture below to connect the network cable system (over two), if there are two type type does not work try with another type

the picture below to connect the cable network two computer systems are usually for the control and communications data

for the default gateway you can fill in if you want to connect your local network with external networks (both other local network or internet). for the DNS server you will be content if you are connected to the internet. This DNS server depending on the rules established by the provider, Telkom Speedy, etc..

if you have no IP set, you can check whether your computer can communicate with other computers, that is the way to run the ping command in the command, such as ping 192.168.1.3
(this command produce 4 times the response), to continue to provide the response we add the attribute-t (trace), like ping 192.168.1.3-t

No response was given 3 kinds:

1. reply from ....
your computer can communicate with the purpose of your computer.
2. request time out ....
network connection problems with the purpose of your computer.
3. destination unreachable ....
network connection to your computer problems.
